The Amami islands is an archipelago of small islands located southwest of Kyushu, Japan, that are thought to be named after Amamikyu, the goddess of creation. As the mythical goddess asked the Heavenly Emperor for grasses, trees and stones to build the islands, here at Amami, our expert chefs source local fresh produce of the highest quality to delight you with their culinary creations every day.
